Yesterday I received the dreaded phone call that every mom thinks about when her child leaves every morning. It's when the caller ID says the school is calling. You hope it is just because your child is out of lunch money or forgot some homework but this phone call was not about that. It was the receptionist telling us that Brayden was hurt at recess playing soccer and his leg might be broken, they were to afraid to move him so they have called an ambulance. There was panic, tears, then more panic. Chip and I arrived at the school to see Brayden on a stretcher and half of the school surrounding him. We followed the ambulance to the hospital where the paramedics and hospital staff took such great care of him. Brayden took a moment to say a prayer that he would be alright. When the doctor told us the news it tore our hearts to hear that he had broke both this tibia and fibula and he would be in a cast for the next 6 weeks. The hardest part was realizing that Brayden's season as quarterback was over. We tried to cheer him up by telling him he is following in his footsteps of his hero Tom Brady but it didn't help much. Brayden was so tough and he didn't even get put under when they set his leg. He's focusing on the good by enjoying a lot more video games then usual. He is such an amazing kid and we are so grateful that he is alright but talk about bad timing. Is there a good time for a broken leg??? It's just ironic that I was so afraid that he would get hurt in football and he got hurt playing at school. Life is funny that way.
Check out that huge bump!!!

London update
I know this is exciting to basically me and maybe grandma but London has been busy moving and shaking these last few weeks. I think a big part is due to her brother Wyatt and wanting to keep up with him. I just love her energy and especially her fancy yoga pose. This girl can move!!!

Boston
We just spent a wonderful, fun, amazing, and memorable week in Boston and it meant so much. Boston is such a special place to me. Even though we have have been back in Utah for almost 2 years, it's a place where part of my heart will always be. I cherish our time there for so many reasons. Partly because of all that Boston has to offer. I am someone who loves adventure and everyday can be an adventure in Boston. All of the people that I met and enriched my life, made me a better person because of the friendships that I made. My little boys grew up there. But most of all I loved the person I became while living in Boston. I was so grateful that we went back there and all of those wonderful memories came flooding back to me. I wish I was more poetic and I could put into words into how I feel about a place but I just wanted to share some photos of our friends and our favorite places of Boston. I am so happy that we live in Utah. I love our life and all we enjoy here but Boston- there is no other place in the world that means more to me.

GIRLS TRIP
All I can say is a BIG thank you girls for a wonderful laugh my guts out time in Ceder City/ St. George last weekend. We went down for the cultural experience to watch plays at the Shakespear Festival and I ended up with stronger stomach muscles from all the laughing. It is great to just be with the girls some times and then it makes me grateful to come home and be a mom again.
