Does anyone else use T.V. as there motherhood drug to get through those really really long days? OK I am women enough to admit it but I am not necessarily proud of my T.V. addiction. It's actually not to bad in the summer because there are so many fun things to do outside but I have one show that I can't get enough of. That show is the Bachelorette. Where else can you watch people fall in love? Did anyone see it tonight? Holy cow I don't think I have ever loved TV more than I have love this season. I love Deanna - she is the best the show has ever seen and I want her to end up Jason so bad I can't stand it. I was so worried tonight that she would cut Jason for Jeremy but to my pure happiness he is still in there. I think it just might be sealed (only here on earth) and the real question is what am I going to do for a full week until next Monday night when I get to see it again? I never thought T.V. could get this good. I love it!!! The best part is my friend Kara dated Jason before she was married. She says he is just as nice in real life as he looks in the show. I feel like I know him through Kara. I think Chip thinks I'm a little crazy and I am but he does sit next to me to watch the whole thing. His money is on Jessie because the whole show has been so unpredictable but I sill want Jason to win. Oh I can't wait until Monday but what will I do when it's all over?

Baby London Photo Shoot
Our sweet baby London turned 4 months on Tyson's birthday. Time passes so quickly so I tried to just capture a few precious expressions. Oh how I love my little girl.

Belated Father's Day Tribute to Chip

I know that Father's Day was over a week ago and is almost forgotten about but I have be down and sick. I just barely gave Chip his Father's Day card today so in re-celebrating the holiday I wanted to give tribute to one incredible dad. I fell in love with this man 13 years ago because of his tender and fun personality. I had thought he would be a great dad someday but once we had children he exceeding all expectations. I am so grateful that our children have such an amazing roll model in their lives and I am grateful for all the memories they have with their dad.

CAMPING IN BEAR LAKE
We had a cold but fun weekend with our friends up in Bear Lake. We stayed in a KOA in a little but warm cabin while our friends have the greatest trailers and it opened my eyes to a whole new world of camping. It brings all modern conveniences of home to the outdoors and it's perfect when you have little ones. Yes I have done a full 180 on my opinion of campers. I used to think of people who owned them as "trailer trash" and now that I realize a good one cost around $50,000 that it's not so much the trailer trash that own them and I want one in the worst way. But back to the trip- we had so much fun hanging out around the camp fire playing games and roasting marshmallows. We shopped at the only store in town the L2 which had everything from pillows to fishing eggs. The Lake there is absolutely breath taking and is called the Caribbean of the west because of the unique color in the lake. It was a great get away. We did have a Wyatt moment that I just have to share. We toured the Minnetonka Caves that were absolutely amazing. It was this huge cave that had stilagtites that were thousands of years old. The thing about stilagtites is that they are alive and if they are touched by humans with there oil and bacteria they stop growing. So at the very end of the tour we hit the bride and groom room where two stilagtites were growing towards one another for the last thousand years and would meet in another 1000 years. There were ropes to protect this valuable site but that didn't stop Wyatt. When no one was looking he took off his shoe and threw it at the stilagtite. You should have seen the look on our guides face, might I add that this was her first tour ever through the caves with a group and she looked like she was going to die. After a quick panic attack she grabbed a stick and retreived the shoe and turned us around back out of the cave. Wyatt left his mark and continues to do so where ever we go.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens
A few weeks ago I had the wonderful opportunity of spending the day with my Mom, Wyatt, and London in the beautiful gardens at Thanksgiving Point. For those of you who know my Mom this is her idea of heaven. We basked in the glory of pure beauty and enjoyed the day but the highlight would have to be a stunt pulled by Wyatt. He had to go to the bathroom so I took him into the women's public indoor bathroom. The type with no windows or outside light source. After he finished going the bathroom I put him next to the sink and told him to stand there and wait for mom. Apparently he became board very easily and decided it would be funny to turn out the lights and run out of the pitch dark bathroom. The worst part about it is that I was not the only one in there. I had to yell out in the dark, "Nobody move, nobody move- my curious little toddler just turned out the lights!" Then I had to feel my way pasted all the elderly ladies that were freaking out and finally found that stupid light switch and Wyatt laughing on the other side of the door. It's always an adventure with Wyatt.

What to do with a good friend???
I have been contemplating some advise that my friend Liz gave me to throw away my scale and not worry about the numbers thing. She has some great points and I have been thinking about it hard and I almost did it but something stopped me. I thought to myself, how can I throw away something so dear to me? I have had that scale for about 17 years. It has seen me at my best and it has seen me at my worst and yet it is still always there for me- not judging but just giving me the truth. Yes this scale is like a good friend to me and no matter how I wish I could never see it again- it has to stay!

It's Vegas Baby
So Chip knows how bad I have been wanting a get away. I love little get aways to break the daily grind but with a new baby it makes it hard to go. So for Mother's day he planned a weekend get away with my 3 best friends from high school Cindy, Heather and Diana. He booked a room in the Paris Hotel and coordinated the whole thing with Cindy so that it was a complete surprise. The weekend after Mother's Day we recharge our mom batteries and had a great time. I actually remembered what it felt like to go into a designer clothing store, find a piece of clothing that I liked, tried it on in a dressing room, and made a purchase that I liked. This was so different from my Costco wardrobe that I currently own. I know all you mom's know what Im talking about. Thanks Chip, you are the best!!!

OH WYATT
My sweet little Wyatt is so cute but can be so very naughty. So I have to have a sense of humor and blog or I might lose it. Let me share. He has been potty trained for a while now but he is already board with just going potty in the toilet so he has gotten very creative. His first choice is to go outside on the front lawn but because I have prohibited this act due to the fear of the neighbors calling DSS on me he has found other resources. He opens the pantry and pulls out a new paper cup and fills it to the rim with warm yellow substance then brings it to me with a very proud beaming smile. His second choice is to open the back door and pee off the deck for the other neighbors to enjoy. And I have to make sure Im not forgetting when he decides to poop on the ground right next to the toilet and then step into it gooshing between each toe. But don't worry he very carefully walks on his heal to find me to help clean it all up. Yes Wyatt is very, very creative and just make sure when you come to my house again that you check in the bottom of your paper cup because we don't keep lemonade on hand.

Spent the whole day cleaning the house. Found 13 cents on the ground. Who ever said that mothers don't get paid enough, well I just proved them wrong. ;)

SLEEP EATING
Journey down the road of weigh loss with me or better know as lack of it!! I know this is probably not something you want to read but I am hoping that by sharing I will get some helpful insight some how and some where from somebody. I can not seem to lose my baby fat for the life of me, in fact it's almost scary so let me share. Ive been doing really good with the exercise and health eating, avoiding sugar and chocolate (I won't even go into how grumpy I've been). So last night I decided while getting ready for bed to weight myself. I know this is a stupid idea but I don't think to clearly at night time. To my surprise I weighed exactly the same as I did when I woke up that morning. Yea Yea the heavens are smiling down on me and my thought process was that I must have lost at least 3 lbs because it was midnight. I went to bed with a smile on my face and thought it was the beginning of something beautiful. When the alarm went off I quickly got out of bed and stepped o to my over used scale and to my horror my scale read that I had gained 2.5 lbs. Are you kidding me??? Are you kidding me?!?!? Then I came to the conclusion. I sleep eat. Some people sleep walk and I eat in my sleep. All of those wonderful yummy things I neglected myself throughout the day become demolished in my mouth in the night. And the most cruel thing about it is I don't get to remember a thing. Is there anyone out there who can help with this diagnosis?

Highlight
Spent the morning digging through the trash can! Does anyone else have children that want to save EVERYTHING??? My children find a rock and think it is a treasure forever and can not throw it away. SO to compensate I do what any honorable mom should do and wait until they are away at school and throw everything away. So when I saw a large beat up dirty tote in Tyson's back pack I thought for sure he would want to keep this eye sore. I could just hear it now how sentimentally attached he was because it held his glue all year and I has having none of that! So I used my mom magic and made it disappear in the trash before it turned into a discussion. That was Friday. Saturday was a wonderful day cleaning out the garage. I threw away everything and anything that was unused and indescribable. I was so proud to fill 2 trash cans to the rim. Monday morning comes and Tyson says, "Mom where's my tote?" To avoid any lies and wrong teachings I said, "Where did you put it?" He then replied, "I don't know Mom but I have to have it TODAY. My teacher sent it home with us to wash it and bring it back to school today!" Spent the morning digging through my trash cans.
