We had a cold but fun weekend with our friends up in Bear Lake. We stayed in a KOA in a little but warm cabin while our friends have the greatest trailers and it opened my eyes to a whole new world of camping. It brings all modern conveniences of home to the outdoors and it's perfect when you have little ones. Yes I have done a full 180 on my opinion of campers. I used to think of people who owned them as "trailer trash" and now that I realize a good one cost around $50,000 that it's not so much the trailer trash that own them and I want one in the worst way. But back to the trip- we had so much fun hanging out around the camp fire playing games and roasting marshmallows. We shopped at the only store in town the L2 which had everything from pillows to fishing eggs. The Lake there is absolutely breath taking and is called the Caribbean of the west because of the unique color in the lake. It was a great get away. We did have a Wyatt moment that I just have to share. We toured the Minnetonka Caves that were absolutely amazing. It was this huge cave that had stilagtites that were thousands of years old. The thing about stilagtites is that they are alive and if they are touched by humans with there oil and bacteria they stop growing. So at the very end of the tour we hit the bride and groom room where two stilagtites were growing towards one another for the last thousand years and would meet in another 1000 years. There were ropes to protect this valuable site but that didn't stop Wyatt. When no one was looking he took off his shoe and threw it at the stilagtite. You should have seen the look on our guides face, might I add that this was her first tour ever through the caves with a group and she looked like she was going to die. After a quick panic attack she grabbed a stick and retreived the shoe and turned us around back out of the cave. Wyatt left his mark and continues to do so where ever we go.
I can't feel better

That was a fun camping trip. I will never forget the story of Wyatt in the cave- a highlight of the trip for sure!
What is up with that picture of me, Debbie and Wendy? Someone must have been telling an interesting story, Debbie and I look very intrigued!
You must not have gotten the memo that it is the store is called the L2 not the K2. I guess that you have to go to the store more than 3 times a day to really know that.
I am dying to see the ugly picture of Lisa and I. I guess it must of been pretty bad to have taken it off so fast!! That really was a fun trip. I look forward to many more with my favorite trailor trashy friends!!! We really are!
Looks like you guys had so much fun! I have to admit, I thought the same thing about trailers. I have still yet to camp with one, or see one camping with one but it's good to know that I was misinformed and there is a better way of camping (other than tents). So would you say trailers are the Ritz Carlton of camping?
