SLEEP EATING

Journey down the road of weigh loss with me or better know as lack of it!! I know this is probably not something you want to read but I am hoping that by sharing I will get some helpful insight some how and some where from somebody. I can not seem to lose my baby fat for the life of me, in fact it's almost scary so let me share. Ive been doing really good with the exercise and health eating, avoiding sugar and chocolate (I won't even go into how grumpy I've been). So last night I decided while getting ready for bed to weight myself. I know this is a stupid idea but I don't think to clearly at night time. To my surprise I weighed exactly the same as I did when I woke up that morning. Yea Yea the heavens are smiling down on me and my thought process was that I must have lost at least 3 lbs because it was midnight. I went to bed with a smile on my face and thought it was the beginning of something beautiful. When the alarm went off I quickly got out of bed and stepped o to my over used scale and to my horror my scale read that I had gained 2.5 lbs. Are you kidding me??? Are you kidding me?!?!? Then I came to the conclusion. I sleep eat. Some people sleep walk and I eat in my sleep. All of those wonderful yummy things I neglected myself throughout the day become demolished in my mouth in the night. And the most cruel thing about it is I don't get to remember a thing. Is there anyone out there who can help with this diagnosis?

Highlight

Spent the morning digging through the trash can! Does anyone else have children that want to save EVERYTHING??? My children find a rock and think it is a treasure forever and can not throw it away. SO to compensate I do what any honorable mom should do and wait until they are away at school and throw everything away. So when I saw a large beat up dirty tote in Tyson's back pack I thought for sure he would want to keep this eye sore. I could just hear it now how sentimentally attached he was because it held his glue all year and I has having none of that! So I used my mom magic and made it disappear in the trash before it turned into a discussion. That was Friday. Saturday was a wonderful day cleaning out the garage. I threw away everything and anything that was unused and indescribable. I was so proud to fill 2 trash cans to the rim. Monday morning comes and Tyson says, "Mom where's my tote?" To avoid any lies and wrong teachings I said, "Where did you put it?" He then replied, "I don't know Mom but I have to have it TODAY. My teacher sent it home with us to wash it and bring it back to school today!" Spent the morning digging through my trash cans.

Let's Get Real

As most of you know I am a new blogger and I have loved posting things that are precious to me. My friend Kim from Boston even commented on "the amazing things" on my blog. I tried to tell her I only post the most memorable things but I realize that it starts to feel like a blog brag-a-thon. So a while ago I saw this thing on Night Line how this Mom post the truth about motherhood on her blog. I appreciated her honestly. So I am now turning my blogging experience into the highlight of my day. I will call them highlights even if they are low lights because you can't always choose what comes your way but you can choose how you look at it. So as for today my high light had to be when Wyatt pooped in the portable potty while I was feeding London. I had drifted into a quick nap because I woke up this morning at 5:00 to go to the gym that I have gone to every day for the past 6 weeks to try and lose this baby fat stuck to my buns and haven't lost a pound because I like to eat to much- anyway back to the poop. I was awakened by the sweet aroma of my 3 year old poop as he shoved his portable potty container under my nose and said, "I go potty in the big boy toilet so I can go on the golfing course with dad!". Would it totally gross you out if I said I was pleased by this????

3 boys = Lots of sports

Our social life consists of Friday night baseball and pot-luck after the game. Don't get me wrong we have a lot of fun but now days our boys sporting events take up a lot of time!!! Brayden is loving baseball. He plays with his good friend Christian and goes 5 out of the 7 days of the week. Tyson is our little quarterback and he played football with his cousin Dallin. So from driving back and forth to games and dressing like we are in the antartic in May due to the unusual cool weather, little London wonders what type of family she was brought into. It's a busy one that is for sure.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Wouldn't life be great if every day were Mother's Day? If every morning you slept in and when you finally decided to wake up you were brought breakfast in bed? And wouldn't it be great if you were told how much your kids appreciated all that you do with little hand prints or drawn pictures with lots of hearts and flowers? And wouldn't it be great if you didn't have to deal with bugger noses and muddy foot prints, no laundry and no dishes. No homework and and dinner was magically placed on the dinner table warm and delicious. If every day was Mother's day then we wouldn't be able to fill our roll and be called mothers so thank heavens for that wonderful day even if it does only come once a year. Happy Mothers day to all our wonderful Mom's and thanks to the dad's for giving us the day off.

CHIP'S BIRTHDAY

Our sweet Chipper turned the big 35 last week. Birthdays to me, are a big deal- I feel that it is the one day of the year that you get to do or say anything and everyone has to be nice no matter what because it is your birthday. So to celebrate we started out the weekend before with a cheesecake tasting party with some friends. Chip loves cheesecake so I bought one piece of almost every kind at the Cheesecake Factory. It was so yummy but after a while made us a bit sick. The kids gave dad some great presents and Chip and I tried to have a fun romantic night out on the town. It didn't quite turn out that way. I scheduled a massage at Massage Envy which is the dumbest places ever. They advertise cheep massages because they give you cheep massages. You get what you pay for but what can you do. Then we went to Five Alls because it is suppose to be this great restaurant with an excellent reputation but it was a disaster. We waited for 40 mins to be seated when we had reservations and then no waitress ever showed up for another 15 mins and then the food was gross. We saved the night by picking up our kids from the baby sitter and going to our friends to roast marshmallows at the camp fire. All and all it was just fun to be together. By the way notice Wyatt stealing a taste of the cheesecake when our backs were turned. Way to go Wyatt.

We feel so blessed to have such great family and friends surrounding us to celebrate this special day. Here are a few photos from that day.

WE HAVE A FAMILY PET

SO MY GOOD FRIEND KARA TOLD ME SHE TOOK THE PLUNGE AND BOUGHT A PUPPY FOR HER FAMILY AND HOW MUCH FUN THEY WERE HAVING WITH IT. SO IT GOT ME THINKING- WHY CAN'T WE HAVE A PET? LOW AND BEHOLD MY KIDS PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED AND WE FOUND 4 GARDNER SNAKES IN OUR FRONT YARD. THEY COME OUT OF A LITTLE HOLE ALMOST EVERY DAY (AS LONG AS IT IS ABOVE FREEZING OUTSIDE). THE SNAKES REALLY KIND OF FREAK ME OUT, ESPECIALLY ONE DAY WHEN I WAS WALKING OUTSIDE WITH LONDON IN MY ARMS AND I STEPPED ON ONE WITH MY BARE FEET BUT THE BOYS LOVE THEM. I LIKE THE EASY MAINTENANCE AND UNTIL I GET A REAL PET THIS WILL DO JUST FINE- AS LONG AS THEY DON'T BRING IT IN THE HOUSE!!!

MONSTER TRUCK SHOW

WE WENT DOWN TO LAS VEGAS FOR THE MONSTER TRUCK SHOW IN MARCH WITH ALL MY SIDE OF THE FAMILY. IT'S TRUE THAT I WAS A LITTLE SKEPTICAL ABOUT THE WHOLE THING AT FIRST BUT IT WAS SO MUCH MORE FUN THEN EXPECTED. THE TRUCK SHOW DOWN IN VEGAS IS EQUIVALENT TO THE SUPER BOWL OF FOOTBALL. THEY DO THEIR RACE COMPETITION THEN THEY "FREE STYLE" UNTIL THEIR TRUCK IS DESTROYED. IT WAS SO COOL TO WATCH AND THE BOYS JUST LOVED IT!!! I HIGHLY SUGGEST IT TO ALL OF YOU WHO ARE WANT TO WOW YOUR KIDS AND I BET YOU WILL ENJOY IT ALSO. WE HAD A BLAST! WE ALSO HAD A FUN SEEING ALL THE SIGHTS. WE WENT SHOPPING AND HIT AN OXYGEN BAR WHERE YOU BREATH IN 100% OXYGEN AND THE KIDS WENT SWIMMING AND MIMICKED GRANDPA WITH HIS BEARD. SO MEMORABLE!

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE EASTER DRESS

OK THIS MIGHT SEEM A LITTLE SILLY TO SOME BUT AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER I HAVE LONGED TO BUY AN EASTER DRESS FOR MY LITTLE GIRL. EVERY SPRING WHEN EASTER WOULD COME AROUND I WOULD LOOK AT ALL THE LITTLE SPRING DRESSES WITH PINK AND BOWS AND FULL SKIRTS AND I WANTED TO BUY ONE. SO YOU CAN ONLY IMAGINE MY JOY WHEN CHIP AGREED TO LET LONDON GO TO CHURCH ON EASTER SUNDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME THEREFOR JUSTIFYING THE EASTER DRESS. I HAD SO MUCH FUN PICKING ONE OUT (OK TO BE FULLY HONEST I PICKED OUT TWO, ONE FOR THIS YEAR AND ONE FOR NEXT.) WE HAD A WONDERFUL EASTER SUNDAY WITH MY MOM AND EASTER EGGS AND REMEMBERING THE RESERECTION OF OUR SAVIOR. THE DRESS WAS A EXTRA BONUS AND IT WAS JUST AS FUN AS I HAD DREAMED IT TO BE.

London's first 3 weeks

OK so when you have a new baby and a new camera and it is still cold outside it makes a perfect receipe for photo shoot. So I have been taking a lot of pictures of my new little princess. She has been so much fun and I am just trying to soak up every little second with her. Here are some of my favorite photos.

My Name is TROUBLE!!!!

When I bought this shirt for Wyatt I just thought it was cute and I didn't realize how prophetic it was going to be. Ever since London was born my little Wyatt has gone looking for trouble. So far his list of crimes have been; Elmer's glue all over Tyson's bedspread, Vaseline all over the red sofa, a bottle of lotion on London's carpet, marker drawn all over the wall, emptied a bottle of shampoo on the floor than did a dance in it and ran all over the house with shampoo feet, and last but not least the rubber glove over the hot lamp that almost started the house on fire if Tyson had not caught it in time. Now don't get me wrong he loves his baby London but he is getting a little bored sitting around the house all the time. Lets all just hope that warm weather is around the corner. Heaven help us!!

LONDON MCKENNA PACKER

BABY LONDON IS BORN

BABY LONDON WAS BORN ON FEBRUARY 21 AT 8:03 IN THE MORNING. SHE WAS A SCHEDULED C-SECTION BUT JUST BECAUSE THINGS ARE SCHEDULED DOESN'T MEAN THAT EVERYTHING WORKS OUT PERFECTLY. WHEN WE GOT THE HOSPITAL I WAS PREPPED AND READY TO GO BUT THE DOCTORS WERE RUNNING BEHIND AND MY ANESTHESIOLOGIST DIDN'T CHECK ME TO MAKE SURE I WAS ALL THE WAY NUMB SO WITH THE FIRST CUT I LET THEM KNOW I COULD FEEL WHAT THEY WERE DOING. IT WASN'T THE FULL LEVEL OF PAIN BUT IT DID HURT ENOUGH THAT I WANTED TO SCREAM. THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING UNTIL THE BABY WAS OUT BECAUSE THE MEDICINE WOULD GO STRAIGHT TO HER SO I GRABBED ON TO CHIPS HAND HARD AND THE DOCTORS WORKED FAST. AS HER HEAD CAME OUT THEY SAW THAT THE CORD WAS WRAPPED AROUND HER NECK 3 AND A HALF TIMES. AS SOON AS THEY GOT HER OUT SHE WAS FINE AND SO WAS I. THEY PUMPED ME SO FULL OF MEDICINE THAT I COULDN'T WALK UNTIL 4:30 THAT AFTERNOON. BUT BESIDES THOSE LITTLE KINKS WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL WEIGHING 7 LBS. 2 OZ. WE CHOSE THE NAME LONDON BECAUSE WE THOUGHT IT FIT THE PRECIOUS, ELEGANT LITTLE GIRL BORN INTO OUR FAMILY. OUR HOSPITAL STAY WAS SO WONDERFUL WITH ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHO CAME TO VISIT AND THE SPECIAL CARE WE GOT FROM NURSE CINDY. WE ARE SO FULL OF LOVE AND HAPPINESS WITH THE BLESSING OF THIS SWEET LITTLE GIRL AND WE KNOW THAT THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.
